For new members, finding a group can be somewhat of a daunting task. Luckily, if you’ve managed to join the clan already you are well on your way to finding a group!
LFG on the100.io
This clan, by default, schedules raids, dungeons, activities, crucible et al through the website https://www.the100.io/. If you have not already, join the group here: https://www.the100.io/groups/v2/294580.
Once you are on the site, follow these easy steps:
- Open the Direct Action group on the100.io
- Click the button “Schedule Game” in the top right hand corner.
- Fill in the activity details:
- What Game? – Destiny 2
- What Activity? – Select the activity you want to run here. If you wanted to do the “Normal” difficulty for Root of Nightmares, you’d select “Raid – Root of Nightmares – Normal”
- Description – Add details here. Common tags you’ll see are:
- KWTD: Know What To Do, ie “Not a teaching run”
- Sherpa Requested: I don’t know what to do and will need a teacher
- PL: Power level, be at or above the requested number
- “All x”: Sometimes people need the entire group to be on a single class or subclass element
- Who? – Ensure that “Group” is selected. Selecting “Public” or “Alliance” will allow anyone on the100 to join, and you likely do not want this
- Add Advanced Options (optional):
- Current Party Size – If you already have people in your group, add them so that you don’t have too many people in your group
- Platform – Ignore this
- Required Power Level – Only used for Master and GM content
- Other Options – Tag your groups as Sherpa Needed or Beginner Friendly
- Click the button “Create Gaming Session”
And you’re done! It’s that easy to find a raid group.
Joining your Raid
Now that you’ve joined your raid group, you’re ready to get into the game. Firstly, look for the others in your group in one of the voice chats on Discord. The creator of the group is generally responsible for joining a voice chat.
For joining in-game, you have two options:
- Join Code (PC ONLY): Ask the host for their Bungie ID. For example mine is:
/join TheAlpacalypse#0345
. Paste this into the chat console in Destiny 2, then hit enter. You should see the prompt “Join Allies” appear on screen - Invite Code: Ask the host to invite you to the game. Share your Bungie ID with them. For example mine is:
/invite TheAlpacalypse#0345
. The host will paste this into their chat console in Destiny 2, then hit enter. You should see the invite come through on the Director’s “Social” tab.
To find your Bungie ID, look in the Director’s “Social” tab.
