A teaching run is a raid or dungeon where we have one or more people who have never run that content before.

How is it different from other runs?

  • It will take longer than normal clears
  • There will be explanations before each encounter
  • There is an expectation that we will all die multiple times
  • DPS checks will take longer
  • Jumping puzzles and routing will take longer
  • We do not expect learners to be masters of the game
  • Learners will be trying new mechanics

Can I join if I know what to do?

Yes. Everyone is welcome, but please be comfortable with the above expectations.

How do I join a teaching run?

Please see our article How To Use the100 for details on how to create or join a teaching run.

Who can teach a teaching run?

Anyone! We don’t believe in creating a special teaching group in Direct Action. If you can teach the content and you want to host an event where you’ll show others what to do, we encourage you to set up a teaching run. That said, if it’s not a teaching run that you’ve created, please do not interrupt or take-over from the sherpa unless you’ve spoken to them about it and they’re comfortable with you helping.
